Glaciers
of the Canadian Rocky Mountains Tour - |
| Connecting
Banff to Jasper, the Icefields Parkway has been described as the most spectacular
highway in the world. Surrounded by the towering peaks of the Main Ranges
of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the Parkway winds its way through scenic
mountain valleys filled with stunning blue glacial lakes, tumbling white
waterfalls and cool, clear mountain streams. High above the highway, within
the mountain peaks themselves, lie the true jewels of the Icefield Parkway
- the glaciers of Banff and Jasper National Parks. These staggering rivers
of ice are all that remains of the expansive North American ice sheets that
used to cover the entire northern and alpine regions of North America. Come
along with GeoHistory Tours and experience the beauty and majesty of the
Glaciers of the Canadian Rockies on this spectacular sightseeing adventure. |
